Rather, they simply provide you with a list of accredited institutions and what these tests are like. However, in order to ensure that you’re getting your proper nursing training, and that you’re passing your state test, you need to be able to show the state that you’ve studied and/or passed the appropriate nursing examinations, which will require a minimum of 200 hours of unpaid training or on-the-job experience. This is generally the minimum requirement, but you may find that it’s just the edge you need to pass, especially if your state requires CCRN nursing training and exams.
So, where do you go to get all this information, and what’s the best way to do it? You should first take a hard look at the website for AACN itself. You’ll find a comprehensive list of all the colleges offering CCRN nursing programs, along with a short description (and sometimes a link) for each one. You’ll also see the format for each exam. Keep in mind, however, that there are different formats for each exam, so you should review the site for each one carefully before choosing the one you’ll take.
After you’ve found all of the schools offering CCRN certification, you should start contacting them individually. Ask what credentials they have to offer you, and don’t be afraid to ask for a copy of your own license. You’ll want to make sure that your state board has certified you properly. When you talk to someone at a school, be sure to tell them everything about your background, so that they can verify your records with the proper documentation. If you’re still having a hard time finding someone to talk to, there are a number of websites that you can use to find help.
When you’ve got a list of schools and their names and formats for their CCRN exams, you’ll need to contact the instructors of those schools. If you live in a city with a high population of nurses, your local hospital might offer a CCRN test preparation course. Your closest regional medical facility might also do this for you if you’re looking for extra training in case you decide to open a nursing practice of your own later. The instructors for these courses will have information about the tests and how to prepare for them, as well as the times that they’ll be held, and you should call and make arrangements to take one of them.
If you’re interested in passing the test, you’ll need to be prepared. It’s a very fast-paced type of nursing, and it’s important that you understand that the pace is going to be quick for you right off the bat. There will be a lot to learn before you’ll even hit the exam, and you’ll likely spend a lot of time in class preparing for it. If you find that you’re struggling, you can review a portion of the material ahead of time or take a review class. This will help you feel better about the material ahead of time, and will prevent you from feeling overwhelmed before the test.
AACN offers many different options for AACN CCRN certification verification. You can get your certificate from a local community college, so keep that in mind when choosing a school. A local community college that you are already a part of might offer this program, too, which would save you money and give you more flexibility. There are also many online programs out there, including many of the accredited universities. Check with them to see if they offer a CCRN certification verification program.
The great news is that if you do go through and pass the certification test, you’ll have a piece of paper that says you’ve become a certified each nurse aide.
