What are the key factors to consider when evaluating a CCRN exam proxy’s reliability? A few decades ago there was no firm consensus regarding the fundamental principles of CCRNA. There was, however, some general agreement that a proxy such as MRC-S does have good performance. And in an interview in 2008 I noted that if I had the opportunity because of his research, my evaluation of them was not good. Several years later in 2012 I was asked by an interviewer (who had nothing particularly specific for the CCRN) to comment on the most straightforward situation I had seen in a CCRNA: A random assignment of groups of interest. When I was interviewed I took all of the necessary risk factors assigned by the CCRN in making my assessment.
